Employer workshop: Attracting Bristol’s diverse young talent into your business - 28 November

October 24 2017

We know that 31% of the West of England LEP area have at least one hard to fill vacancy. Many businesses also struggle to recruit young people, with only 33% of employers in the area having hired an education leaver in the last three years. With youth unemployment at 6.2% - 50% higher than the overall unemployment rate, there is untapped talent that businesses can utilise to address the skills gap and create a more diverse workforce.

To help tackle this issue, we would like to invite HR professionals/Early Careers/Talent Managers based in the Bristol area to attend our workshop, kindly hosted by KPMG, focusing on how you can attract diverse young talent into your business.

Date and time: Thursday 28 November from 10:30am – 1:30pm followed by lunch

Location: KPMG, 66 Queen Square, Bristol, BS1 4BE

The purpose of the event for delegates is to:

  • Hear from some the area’s leading employers including KPMG about what they are doing to attract diverse young talent.

  • Access practical advice from leading employers and from BITC’s Youth Employment team on this issue.

  • Participate in an interactive activity on how businesses can attract diverse talent into their workforce.

  • Network with employers across the region to share best practice for attracting diverse young talent.
