July 5 2017

Time:12.30 – 16.00
Venue: Yorkshire Water, Western House, Western Way, Bradford BD6 2SZ
Back in 2015, Business in the Community and City & Guilds Group surveyed 4000 young people about their experiences of finding work. 57%said that companies asking for previous experience was a major barrier for them when they were applying for jobs.
Too many employers are relying on standard requirements for previous experience to help sift applicants for entry level roles with little thought about how they could more accurately assess a candidate’s potential to do the job.
To help tackle this issue, we would like to invite you to attend our workshop, kindly hosted by Yorkshire Water, focusing on how you can you identify a young candidate’s potential.
Open to all HR professionals/Early Careers/Talent Managers based in the West Yorkshire area, workshop delegates will have the opportunity to:
Hear how companies such as Yorkshire Water use different techniques to identify potential in young people without relying on previous experience.
Receive top tipson how you can implement these practices in your own organisations.
Participate in an interactive group exercise to learn how to uncover young people’s hidden talentsusing practical behaviour based recruitment methods.
Spaces at this workshop are limitedand allocated on a first come, first served basis. If you would like to attend, please SIGN UP HERE to be added the guest list.
